Discover how to increase the effectiveness of local preservation commissions and learn best practices drawn from throughout the country. The National Alliance of Preservation Commissions stages CAMP with a faculty of skilled preservation professionals. 

Sessions included in CAMP Essentials: Why Preserve? An Introduction to Historic Preservation; Legal Basics; Standards and Guidelines for Design Review; and Meeting Procedures.

There will be an in-person CAMP during the Preserving Historic Places Conference 2026 in Franklin on September 29th. Some of these sessions may be repeated but there will be additional topics covered.
