As part of Preserving Historic Places: Indiana’s Statewide Historic Preservation Conference, the National Park Service hosts a free workshop for property owners in Madison’s National Historic Landmark District.
David Calease, Architectural Historian with the National Park Service’s Midwest Regional Office, leads the session, exploring the differences between National Historic Landmark designation, listing in the National Register of Historic Places, and local historic district designation. Attendees will gain insights into available resources, learn best practices for maintaining historic properties, and understand the impact of alterations within historic districts. Joining David Calease will be Ashley Thomas, Historic Architecture Specialist from the Indiana Division of Historic Preservation and Archaeology. The workshop will also include a Q&A segment.
While the event is free, your RSVP is appreciated below.
